Regarding application 21165, The Ives. I am opposed to this development as proposed. It is inappropriate to
build a six story mixed use building adjacent to a long standing single family home residential district. This
proposal is not providing missing middle housing. It certainly has no sense of place in this area of Bozeman.
Traffic, parking and more congestion will occur on the Willson Ave thoroughfare. I have lived three blocks
from this area for30 years. How fortunate we have been to walk to multiple medical appointments in the
current Medical Arts Building. Now, we will have to add to Bozeman's traffic to drive to those businesses. A
pleasant walk or bike ride downtown to shop and attend events will be disrupted by high rise unsightliness
and congestion, which already has occurred. We have already experienced years of large construction
projects on this avenue, with dangerous vehicle, bike and pedestrian traffic on this narrow avenue. I see no
affordable housing in any of these projects, something the commissioners constantly claim is on their
agenda for Bozeman. This Ives development is inappropriate and not a service to Bozeman. It should be
voted down.
