Hello,
I am writing to express my opposition to the current plans for the Ives development.
This current plan does not create a welcoming, sense of place within the current residentialneighborhood. With the planned 6 story development towering over single family residential
homes, there is not proper or by city standards, encouragement of a transition toneighbourhood scale, and sense of place.
I also oppose this development, as proposed, for the variance the developer is seeking with
regards to the driveway access from W. Villard Street. The city has codes for reasons, and thisvariance should not be approved.
Also, the cash in lieu of parkland is reckless. As it will set a precedent for future developers to
pash cash, rather than provide open space and park land for the neighborhood and community.
Please oppose this development as currently planned, and hold this developer to the standardsthe city ordinances are in place for.
