A Bozeman native, and 5th generation Montanan, to say I have seen some change is a vast
understatement! And I'm only in my mid-30s. Even for a young person, it feels like as a community we are
moving at breakneck speed. I will admit to feeling curmudgeonly beyond my years at times. Especially when
a tourist goes down Mendenhall the wrong direction for the umpteenth time. (A one way that switches to
two way? What's confusing about that? ;) Growing pains aside, there are places and ways in which we're
growing that are exciting to see.
As a former board member of Bozeman Business and Professional Women I have had the opportunity to
serve the business community as it grows and watch small businesses expand in a rapidly changing market.
Helping entrepreneurs pivot to better serve their community during challenging times has been a
rewarding experience.
Throughout my time in Bozeman I have worked in retail, art, medicine and finance. I am engaged with a
wide range of community members and would be honored to represent them on this board.
The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have
engaged in to expand your understanding of DEI.
As the daughter of a member of the Cherokee and Choctaw nations, it is of upmost importance to me that
all voices are heard and have a place at the table. We are not all of one mind and opinion, and that's a
wonderful thing! Having people engage in growth that come from different experiences and backgrounds is
what will ensure our community is a place that continues to be welcoming and enjoyed by all.
I like to participate in volunteer projects around town, from Streamline to Fork & Spoon and the Food Bank.
It's a great way to meet a variety of people from different demographics and motivations. Not to mention
very rewarding!
