Growth stability in economic vitality in our communit is more important now than ever.
The quickly rising cost of living in the Gallatin Valley is making it difficult for long-time members of our
community to remain in Bozeman and making it impossible for community members who've struggled to
form any meaningful foundation in Bozeman.
The percentage of Medicaid patients at our practice is over twice as high as sister practices in the Montana
region, yet Bozeman touts richness in resources, businesses and property.
Workforces are also at risk across the community and restoring stability could/would attract residents/staff.
Property is at a premium, tourism is booming. Meanwhile, thriving businesses struggle to operate normal
business hours due to lacking staff and those at/below the poverty level are going underserved in Bozeman.
Continued vitality is dependent upon increased stability in housing, jobs, elevating the vulnerable in our
community, and continuing to provide strong educational resources.
The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have
engaged in to expand your understanding of DEI.

Is there any other information that you feel we need to know?
I understand that there are many components to economic vitality and many of the other boards address
them simultaneously - community development, transportation, infrastructure, education, employment,
housing, income levels. I'd be happy to serve in most any capacity for the City of Bozeman.
If you have a disability that requires assistance or need accommodations, please contact our ADA
Coordinator, Mike Gray, at 582-3232 (TDD 582-2301).
