(○) No Please describe your professional and personal experiences, interest, and qualifications that make you a good fit for this board. I am the owner of Root Cellar Foods in Belgrade. We are a wholesale vegetable processor and online retail market that focuses on Local and Montana Food products. I have lived in Bozeman since 2001 and attended MSU for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. My Masters degree was in Sustainable Food Systems and my passion, through my work and personal life is making sure that the local food system thrives. I have been serving on the Board of Directors for Gallatin Valley Farm to School for 3 years and hold the position as Secretary. I have learned a lot from being on that Board. I am also on the steering committee for Open & Local and have been for 3-4 years. I enjoy being part of the discussion to help increase sustainability in the Gallatin Valley. The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have engaged in to expand your understanding of DEI. I am going to be part of a discussion through GVF2S in a couple weeks to help us as a Board to understand and practice DEI. But in general, I believe my natural belief system works within those parameters. References: Please provide name, phone, and email contact information for two references.
