Water Conservation Funds, Environmental Review and Recreation Research), following a merger of
Planning and Financial Management I became the Administrator of the Office of Management and Budget

counties in Minnesota and all DNR programs in those counties. I worked with a team of regional discipline
managers to manage nearly 800 people during the summer season.
I am an avid park and trail user. I am a strong proponent of outdoor recreation but I am also realistic about
cost associated with providing facilities (particularly ongoing capital maintenance costs). I bike, ski, run, hike
and walk with my dog, named Rossi (short for Rossignol Skis) He is a big powder hound.
The City of Bozeman strongly values diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Describe any efforts you have
engaged in to expand your understanding of DEI.
As a manager in Minnesota State Government, I participated in a wide variety of classes and seminars that
focused on DEI.
For four years I was a manager in the Department of Employee Relations. I managed the staffing unit that
did all classification and testing for all positions in State Service (approx. 45,000). I and my team worked
with Unions, Civil Service Procedures and DEI to ensure a well rounded state workforce.
As a supervisor and manager for decades I made it my personal practice to maintain a diversified team.
