Question & Answer
1. General Clarification on term “as needed” in the RFP document.
Will the City require that the snow removal services contractor be on call at all times and
available to respond to any location any day with a snow event?
The City will provide the awarded contractor with a specified list of parks, pathways and areas
where snow will be removed. This will be done far in advance of the actual snow event to allow
preparation of equipment and staff. The contractor will be responsible to clear the snow from
those spaces “as needed” at the discretion of the Parks Superintendent within a 24 hour period.
2. RFP Section IV. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS item 3. of the RFP (page 6)
Is there a list of specific equipment that should be provided at the Fixed Hourly Rate in?
No, the City is aware that there are a number of effective equipment options and specifications
for attachments that can be utilized to remove snow and ice. Contractors shall provide an
itemized list of equipment that can be available at the fixed per hour rate for snow and ice
removal as described in the RFP section III scope of services.
3. RFP Section IV. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS item 4. of the RFP (page 6)
Is there a list of specific equipment that should be provided at the Fixed Hourly Rate?
If additional services are utilized to perform services requested or available for other tasks not
listed in the RFP Section III. Scope of Services (page 5), the proposal shall provide additional
information to describe/specify services at the Fixed Hourly Rate.
