​City commissioners and plannning board: Thank you for the opportunity to voice
concerns regarding the Ives building plan. As a longtime northeast neighborhood
resident of almost 40 years, I am adamantly opposed to yet another brick box
development aimed for the wealthy that encroaches on single dwelling homes with
little to no transition. I was opposed to the changing of the zoning to allow Home
Base to move forward in the first place. What will it take for the members of the
commission and planning board to heed long-time residents' concerns instead of thereckless planning brought to our town by Andy Holloran? This community is NOT in
need of more housing for the wealthy. Affordable housing issues are rampant, and
not being addressed as they should be, while high end developers are taking up
incredible amounts of real estate and catering to high income clients only. Please re-consider the development of the Ives in its current development plans.
