GSF: 30,000+ SF Cost/SF: TBD PAR Completed: Winter 2019/2020 JGA was hired to do a Preliminary Architectural Report (PAR) after the existing fi re station and EMS facility had structural issues. The study grew into reviewing a facility for the Police Department, the MHP, DCI and Parole and Probation. In one option, JGA reviewed an existing facility that could include the Police Department, MHP, DCI and Parole and Probation. JGA was asked to do preliminary design for the fi re station that would serve the community, combine the EMS, the Fire Department and Police Station in a single facility and include areas for DCI and MHP and Probation and Parole. JGA ARCHITECTS ENGINEERS PLANNERS, PC 10 RICHLAND COUNTY FIRE STATION Richland County Sidney, Montana Project Size: 26,589 SF Project Cost: $8,000,000 Year of Completion: 2017 Services Provided: Planning, Design, Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Administration The new Richland County Fire Station was designed with windows in the second-level control room to enable observation between the situation room, radio dispatch area and the apparatus bays. The project includes fourteen bays- all of which are drive-through, and one wash bay. Storage areas support the apparatus , along with a SCBA room and vehicle maintenance. Interior hose-drying racks which are situated at the end of the bays enhance operations The design includes a kitchen, dining and ready room, as well as administrative offi ces, Fire Marshal and Fire Chief offi ces, training, and support space. The facility has a second fl oor that is designed for future living quarters should the desire for a manned facility become necessary. The second fl oor is accessed by an ADA compliant elevator to support the Situation Room, the future living quarters and a work out area. There is an adjacent maintenance/wash bay. A mezzanine level situated above the fl oor of the vehicle bays houses the radio room. From this level, controllers can observe acƟ vity and operate doors to effi ciently dispatch personnel and emergency equipment. The facility has three pools- lap/community pool, therapy pool and a children’s pool and a steam sauna for ten or more users. There is a full size gym with bleachers located on one side for approximately 200 people and a walking/running track above. The fi tness area on the fi rst fl oor has a multipurpose area that will be used for exercise classes and training for cooking, along with a training kitchen. Next to it is the Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy fi tness area with exercise machines ceiling walking track and offi ces . The other signifi cant area in the facility is the wellness check area with seven consulting rooms, three dental rooms and a hair wash station. This area also contains support areas such as laundry, break, and reception. The administration offi ces and a conference room are located at the southern side of this area with exterior windows. The central area will have a welcoming atmosphere with high ceilings and skylights for natural light. It has a balcony on the second fl oor that overlooks the lobby area. The balcony opens up to the fi tness workout area with exercise machines with data and televisions. Fallon Ave Baker Montana 59313 Projects: This project include Roof Replacement and Building Envelope Repair for 50 county owned facilities, including the Fallon Medical Complex/nursing home. The Fallon County community was hit by a massive hail storm that caused extensive damage to most of their facility roofs and exterior facades. Repair of the hail damage to these county-owned structures, located in and near Baker, was completed under multiple work schedules by two contractors. JGA was hired to help the county assess and review project submittals of shop drawings/project data compliance with project scope of work schedule and perform on-site observations during the construction process. The project involved removal and replacement of varying roofing systems membrane, shingle, and metal roofing. Work included upgrades to the roof deck, insulation, and overall building envelope.
