This efficiency will ultimately provide a safer Bozeman community. The MMW team has the experience, the capacity, and the availability to provide a design that exceeds the expectations. We have extensive experience working with the GCCM process and will work with the GCCM to prioritize the best value for your project. Fire Station design is unique and you need an experienced team. MMW is currently working with the Missoula Rural Fire Department on a new station and providing preliminary design on several other stations. Jackie Rudd, our project architect has provided architectural services for numerous fire station and public safety projects during her career. We utilize the latest information regarding design for safety including dividing the structure into hot/warm/cool zones to protect the fire fighters from carcinogens. We know the technical requirements for decontamination areas, mechanical systems, vehicle exhaust venting, etc. Morrison Maeirle, Inc. has performed services on numerous fire stations and has the experience to provide exceptional service for your project. In addition to our experience with fire stations, the MMW team has a 24-year history of providing exceptional service on similar project types. We have projects with vehicle bays, like Ravalli Electric Coop, Decker Trucking, DMA Wash Bay, and others. Many of our other projects also have similarities and this breadth of experience will contribute to the design. MMW Architects has done extensive work in the Bozeman area. We are currently working on the MSU Health and Wellness building, which will be one the most significant projects on campus. We have also worked with City of Bozeman on a significant study for their aquatics facilities. Morrison Maeirle, Inc. has an office in Bozeman and has worked on numerous projects in Bozeman. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Kent MeansFounding Principal Architect EXPERIENCE With five fire stations total in the MRFD, this station will replace their existing Bonner Fire Station where 3 career and 6 resident fire fighters will respond out of. The station is designed with 3 drive-through bays for quick response. The overall site and floor plans has room for growth opportunities for a dedicated ambulance bay, future large conference space, and even growth in personnel as needed. The fire station is designed using highly durable and cost-effective materials including metal panel siding and roof, and concrete masonry apparatus bays. The facility includes large warehouse space, vehicle storage bays, and a separate maintenance and wash bay building. The facility provides efficient workflow for the co-op as the extent of their operations continues to grow. A mix of both wood framing and pre-fabricated metal buildings, the facility offers quality public spaces, generous office space, and highly utilized vehicle operation and storage spaces. Two new interview rooms are located adjacent to the lobby. A conference room hosts daily meetings and training sessions. The high bay evidence storage provides capacity through the use of high density mobile shelving. A new automatic gate affords secure, on-site parking for 42 squad cars and surveillance vehicles. Large evidence items such as cars are accommodated in an existing warehouse behind the facility. The underside of the roof sheathing and roof beams were exposed to express the beauty of the existing structure. Large skylights and dramatic lighting highlight the barrel vault to create a beautiful space befitting of the Chambers’ civic purpose. This allows the system components to operate only when a vehicle is detected in each zone, and allows the majority of the water to be reclaimed and used repeatedly, saving the owner costly water, and relieving the utility the burden of suppling such high amounts of water. A pre-engineered metal building is being utilized to house the wash bay in order to meet tight budget constraints. Metal insulation will help prevent freezing conditions within the facility. The district operates seven stations strategically located throughout the jurisdiction. Station #1 is the critical hub of the seven stations. This project is unique because it contains a separate decontamination building - the first and only one in the U.S. The structural engineering design is now in the national spotlight as there have been numerous site visits and tours of this facility from design teams and firefighters throughout the country. “For 75 years, Morrison-Maierle has helped its clients create solutions that build better communities.” Location: Belgrade, MontanaCost: $10.6 MillionSize: 12,500 SFCompletion: 2019Reference: Chief Ron Lindroth, City of Belgrade Fire Department FIRE STATION #62 SUBDIVISIONCity of Kalispell Morrison-Mairele, Inc. perfomed all survey, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering and planning tasks for a Special Use 1 Lot Subdivision for the City of Kalispell located on DNRC Land.
