HomeMy WebLinkAboutHydro Parks Submission - Irrigation Zone 1Parks & Trails District Irrigation Maintenance Services zone 1 RFP Hydro Logistics Irrigation, LLC Josh Proff 499 Hyalite View Drive Bozeman, MT 59718 406.570.0814 josh@hydroli.com Executive Summary How we do it Hydrologistics takes an 'ownership' role with the systems we maintain. This means that we will do our best to keep all the sites we maintain looking as good and healthy as possible while still being conscious to water usage. Throughout the season, our two dedicated Hydrologistics technicians will do weekly “drive-by” inspections of all maintained sites to quickly assess if irrigation zones appear to be functioning properly. We look for overly dry and wet areas. If it is determined that the site appears to need attention, we can be on top of it before conditions become extreme. In addition to the drive-by, at a minimum, we will provide a monthly system run-through and inspection to check for leaks, broken system components, and to adjust general system operations. All repairs will be performed at the time of discovery with City approval. We try to avoid the city staff getting reports of 'broken or untimely' irrigation systems. We sincerely value a close working relationship with all of our clientele. It is mutually beneficial when we are able quickly address any and all issues that arise. This means we are usually on a 'speed-dial' relationship with our clients. Our maintenance contracts are given a top-priority response approach. We usually have a service tech in or around Bozeman, however, if this is not the case, we also have secondary contacts to turn to if a system needs to be shut down in an emergency. This allows us to still provide immediate service, even if we are not currently available. As with all projects/contracts, we understand the need to be flexible and to modify current services as necessary. We are open to any and all modifications to this contract proposal. As this is the first year that the Parks District will be maintaining/managing all these additional parks, we look forward to being a part of the 'stream-lining' process in this endeavor to help make this a great opportunity for all parties involved in the years to come. 499 Hyalite View Drive Bozeman, MT 59718 josh@hydroli.com 406.570.0814 Company Profile A bit about us Hydrologistics was established in 2010 to, among many other things, fill the need for quality commercial irrigation maintenance. Our owner has been doing both commercial and residential irrigation repair/maintenance since 1998. Hydrologistics is a fully accredited, insured and bondable Bozeman irrigation company, specializing in commercial and residential sprinkler system design, installation, maintenance, and repair. We are a member of the Irrigation Association and hold accreditation as a Certified Irrigation Contractor and Auditor. Hydro was started with the vision of more efficient and water-conservative irrigation design for both residential and commercial installations. Our goal is to continually improve our service, and streamline the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems. We strive to keep the landscape looking as healthy as possible while, at the same time, promoting water-efficient scheduling and best management practices. We are ready to serve your needs with professional installations and continued service including start-ups, blowouts and maintenance for the years to follow to ensure your system stays in top condition. In addition to our installation crew, we have two irrigation service-techs educated in landscape irrigation auditing and programming. Every site has its own micro-climate that must be constantly monitored and adjusted. We take into account the conditions beneath the topsoil such as clay, cobbles, sand, etc. to adjust our run-times for plant health and preventing runoff. A general “blanket” schedule for all the sites will simply not work and we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt the controllers' programs to fit its landscape water-requirements. A high-quality system requires high quality materials including WiFi/cell controllers, flow sensors, weather sensors, and integrated fertilizer systems. Therefore, we continue to be a Rainbird Installer with complete access to other preferred lines. We will tackle the toughest of jobs to suit our client’s needs. Our current irrigation installation clientele are the owners of large ranch properties with sprinkler systems that rival large commercial irrigation systems. Most of our water volumes are around 60-160gpm at pressures from 50-95psi. Pipe sizing varies from 1” up to 3”. We routinely maintain and monitor these systems just as we do with our current commercial properties. This is why one of our repair trucks is dedicated to commercial repair/maintenance and the other is a combination of both residential and commercial. Our owner has been working on large systems with the Parks Dept., as-needed, since the mid 2000's, and is very knowledgeable regarding the majority of all City owned parks, facilities, boulevards, and medians. 499 Hyalite View Drive Bozeman, MT 59718 josh@hydroli.com 406.570.0814 PARK NAME SITE DISCRIPTION LOCATION: MAP/LOCATION (GREEN AREA ONLY) FERGUSON MEADOWS PARK TURF: YES/FAIR IRRIGATION: YES/SMALL/FAIR Sanders Ave & Cascade St. 1-A 1x/year $ 1x/year $ VALLEY COMMONS PARK TURF: YES/UNK IRRIGATION: YES/MEDIUM/FAIR Fallon St. & Ginella Way (vacant land) 1-B 1x/year $1x/year $ LOYAL GARDENS SUB PARK TURF: YES/FAIR IRRIGATION: YES/MEDIUM/FAIR S. We currently have maintenance contracts with both the Streets and Facilities Department that have been in place and renewed several times over the last six years. Currently, on an as-needed basis, we assist the City Parks Dept. staff with irrigation troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, installations, winterizations, and startups. The Bozeman School District utilizes our services for consultation work, repairs, and all their winterizations throughout the district. In the spring we often help BSD7 train and advise new custodians (some veteran) on the proper operation of their respective irrigation systems.
