I am in agreement that a new section to the noise ordinance that applies to all construction sites within the city is needed. However, if the site is in a residential block, or next to aresidential block, the hours should be adjusted downward due to the piercing noises from backup beepers. For example, an item could be added that limits construction noise within aresidential area to 11 hours. 8-7 would be the hours for noise generating activity. This could change in the future if industry makes the change to white noise warning technology. Back up beepers are piercing unnatural sounds that are proven ineffective atpreventing accidents, but very effective at disrupting human activity far beyond the intended location. There is technology available that needs to beencouraged. https://www.worldofconcrete.com/en/articles/Quieter_Speaks_Louder.html Backup beepers are the single most disruptive noise for any construction site. The decibel level far exceeds what is necessary for warning and travels far beyond the source. What canthe city do to encourage a move to quieter technology? Chandler Dayton, 716 E Peach St, Bozeman
