I believe this should be further thought out and not passed at this time. My concerns
1. Summer hours especially for the concrete businesses where temps and pours require very
early starts to accomplish
2. COVID hours have been trending towards 4 day work weeks to minimize exposure for crews.
This means earlier starts
3. Building season in Bozeman with weather and limited available workforce (college students)
requires certain exterior crews to accomplish most of their work in the summer season with
long hours. With long hours are still over 1 year out on scheduling.
a. Landscape companies
b. Lawn care
c. Painting crews
4. Enforceability and strain on already strained city staff. This is my perception based on what
I’ve seen.
