Greetings Mr. Knapper: What is the vision and the "endgame" for the ongoing massive development in the GallatinValley? It seems from the compliant city government the juggernaut of unregulateddevelopment has no end-- and developers with their laughable paltry "impact fees" and hugeprofits bear no burden for the destruction they create. The result is and will be no wildlife, novalley green, no small farms, no views or few protected spaces of spectacular mountains anddistant vistas, no rivers and only cars, noise and NO WATER. This particular developer has proven their unethical greedy business plan over and over fromthe battle over the eyesore of out of scale Black/Olive across from the historic Blackmore tothe generic ugliness of their other contractor-designed buildings seen on every freeway exitthat now disfigure the "historic" downtown-- where they violated the design standards of theplanning dept and community board and never paid a price, yet were allowed to continue tothe various luxury condos structures now "walling off" the north side neighborhoods fromdowntown- Now the city, with the developers in mind always-- seems to want to destroy Bridger Canyonenvirons with more unaffordable housing--the real estate sell- off to HomeBase and other developers of our beautiful valley, is the new "Anaconda Copper Company" resourceextraction frenzy which will leave a social and environmental disaster never to be repaired. There should be NO ANNEXATION of this land to benefit the few--but any building shouldbe regulated and in keeping with neighborhood character and scale without luxury housing for the wealthy at the expense of the community of working and middle class residents and allspecies who share the land.
