City Commissioners,
Please have the courage to deny the rezoning request for Canyon Gate. The growth of Bozeman is well
under way and will certainly continue to provide many opportunities for mixed-use and commercial
developments, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. The Canyon Gate project is not appropriate for this
neighborhood. The increased density will overwhelm the local infrastructure and create an environment for
many dangerous vehicular events. The Canyon Gate project is only in the interest of a few GREEDY
individuals who completely discard the wishes and values of the local community. The city should be
looking to develop this property with housing that aligns with the existing neighborhood with R-1 and R-2
zoning and include some affordable housing opportunities, as well. We need to make sure the future of
Bozeman includes places to live for those families who service the community!
Approving this project will only further emphasize how the City Planners have lost their way. The elements
that make Bozeman so special will again be denied and eliminated. Please DENY Canyon Gate. Thank you.
