Dear City Planning Commissions,
Our family moved to the Creekwood neighborhood in Bozeman 10 years ago. We purchased
one of the first homes to be built in the area. We were surrounded by open grass fields and
just a few homes. While we knew the area would eventually be developed, we did not expect
the growth to include medium to high density zoning.
The development that is being purposed by Homebase does not fall in line with other zoning
in the area. We are not opposed to the land being developed, rather hope the city will look at
the negative impacts the purposed development will cause. Zoning for single family dwellings
should be considered with open park spaces similar to Legends and Creekwood. The current
infrastructure cannot handle the traffic demands. Rouse and Griffin are already a safety
concern in the morning and evening hours. Schools are already at capacity in the area. The
building site is a natural habitat for wildlife and a corridor to the Bridgers.
So much of Bozeman has already been over developed. We strongly urge you consider a
healthier long term growth plan for this special area of Bozeman and NOT approve the current
proposed zoning for the corner of Story Mill and Bridger.
