Homebase is requesting cash-in-lieu of the provision of parkland for this development. As a
Bozeman resident impacted by this development, I am against this parkland for cash swap.
This goes against the strategic plan by decreasing our quality of life and resulting in a
community that is less safe and healthy. Parklands are an important part of a Livable
Downtown. There is no substitute for green space.
“Two Linden canopy trees would be planted along the W. Villard frontage for additional
screening.” ” There is no way to provide a vegetative screen for a 6-story, 171,654 gross
square foot building.
These statements are self evident. A 6 story building is a large step up from the integrated
mixed use for this Downtown neighborhood
