Please include our vehement opposition to The Ives proposal. This plan is incompatible with the
adjacent neighborhood, and violates the goals of the Community Development Plan. There is no
transitional area, the scale of the proposed building destroys the sense of place that we all value.
There is no diversity of residences which add charm and livability to our neighborhood. Cash in lieu
of parkland again should be denied and the variance request for the ally setback is a safety hazard.
Homebase buildings are all the same, representing monuments to indifference to Bozeman’s needed
workforce residences, to neighborhood character.
Please vote against this proposal. The last thing we need in this town is another massive building
with luxury apartments. It is time for the design review board, the planning department, the
administration and the city officials to listen to the voices of long-term residents who love this city
and who have contributed to its quality of life. Your vote against this is urgent.
