When my wife and I built our home on Spirit Crossing Lane in The Legends 5 years ago, we assumed that the hay field adjacent to our property would be developed at some point. Wehad no problem with the idea of additional residences in our community. We do have a problem however with the proposal put forth by Homebase that includes high density, multi-use properties. Our primary concern is the impact this will have on the traffic in the area. The volume of traffic on Story Mill and Bridger Drive is steadily increasing and it is certainly going to geteven heavier with the completion of the Bridger View development across Bridger Drive and the proposed development of the Stock Yard property on Story Mill. Including high density,multi-use properties in the Canyon Gate project will only exacerbate the traffic problem. Our hope is that Canyon Gate will only include residences and townhomes similar in manner to those in the neighboring Creekwood and Legends areas.
