Dearest City of Bozeman Commissioners:
NO NO NO!
Halloran does NOT have a good record for building neighborhoods for families, nor building for actual
affordability. This company (as do all corporations) has the obligation for maximizing profit. And that is a problem,
not a prescription. IF our city wishes to address the terrible housing trend we are currently seeing in Bozeman, it can
be done. Too many of our homes are owned not by local families for their livelihoods, but by visitors for their
entertainment. And this new project would cater to those visitors.
Just to be clear about my point of view: my family has been in this area since the 1880's, living a modest but
sustainable, and socially connected lifestyle. Until now. It's quickly becoming impossible to stay.
I would like to see our commissioners make some wiser choices.
