I think all the people of Bozeman are tired of the city allowing every vacant lot to be
developed into large developments, which puts more strain on our water and other
resources along with our roadways. The building put up around Rose Park are among
the ugliest eyesores I have even seen. It seems like developers are often given
waivers of regulations and sometimes don't even provide the required amount of open
space. I live off of 25th and Durston, an intersection that is already a major traffic
concern. I can't tell you how many times I have nearly been struck trying to get acrossDurston on 25th Ave. And have you ever tried to make a left on Durston from 19th
during the evening rush hour? I avoid 19th like the plague if I can because it is
unbelievably congested. The long red light on 19th at Main Street ensures this
congestion. aIf you are going to allow this development, please make the developerpay to put in a roundabout at 25th and Durston. They should also pay for the extra
burden this development will place on our water, sewage, and trash systems. It's time
that developers pay their share out of their profits so they don't keep profiting at our
expense. If they are already paying for some of this, they need to pay more becausea lot of this burden is being placed on the Bozeman taxpayer.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Miranda Bly
