COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3797
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, STATING THE CITY'S INTENT TO AMEND THE BOZEMAN 2020
COMMUNITY PLAN BY AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM
"RESIDENTIAL" TO "INDUSTRIAL" FOR APPROXIMATEL Y 4.68 ACRES AND
FROM "PARKS, OPEN SPACE, AND RECREATIONAL LANDS" TO
"INDUSTRIAL" FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.114 ACRES IN THE NORTHERN
PACIFIC ADDITION SUBDIVISION, IN THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION
7, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 6 EAST, CITY OF BOZEMAN, GALLATIN
COUNTY, MONTANA.
WHEREAS, Planning staff has processed an application for a Growth Policy Amendment to
revise the Future Land Use Map on 4.794 acres lying generally east of North Broadway Avenue, north
of East Lamme Street and south of Front Street, in the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, the application for a Growth Policy Amendment would amend the Future Land Use
Map from "Residential" to "Industrial" for approximately 4.68 acres and from "Parks, Open Space, and
Recreational Lands" to "Industrial" for approximately 0.114 acres; and
WHEREAS, the Planning staff assessed the application in light of the criteria set forth for review
of Growth Policy Amendments contained in the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Planning Board conducted a public hearing on an application
for said amendment at its regular meeting held on April 19, 2005, taking into careful consideration the
criteria set forth for review of Growth Policy Amendment applications; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman Planning Board found that the application complies with the
approval criteria established in Section 2.4.1 of the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan, and that the
proposed amendment does constitute an overall improvement to the Plan; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to its public hearing, the City of Bozeman Planning Board voted, on
a vote of 5 to 0, to forward a recommendation for approval of the requested land use designations; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is scheduled to conduct its public hearing on said amendment
at its regular meeting held on May 2, 2005, to consider the applicant's request to amend the Bozeman
2020 Community Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that it intends to revise the growth policy to amend the Future Land Use Map from "Residential"
to "Industrial" for approximately 4.68 acres and from "Parks, Open Space, and Recreational Lands" to
"Industrial" for approximately 0.114 acres lying generally east of North Broadway Avenue, north of East
Lamme Street and south of Front Street, in the Bozeman 2020 Community Plan:

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 2nd day of May, 2005.
