HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3819 Name Stockman Way COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3819 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ESTABLISHING THE NAME "STOCKMAN WAY" FOR THE CURRENTLY UN-NAMED PRIVATE NORTH/SOUTH STREET BETWEEN KAGY BOULEVARD AND REMINGTON BOULEVARD IMMEDIATEL YWEST OF SOUTH 19TH AVENUE IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA. WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Bozeman a petition to name a currently un-named private street within a public access easement in the Kagy Crossroads Subdivision by Stockman Bank, owner of a portion of the property abutting the private street easement; and WHEREAS, the other abutting property owners, Moose Point, L.P., are in agreement with the petition; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, on the 7th day of March 2005, at its regular meeting, passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 3776, declaring it to be the intention of the City Commission to establish the name "Stockman Way" for the currently un-named private north/south street between Kagy Boulevard and Remington Way, immediately west of South 19th Avenue; and WHEREAS, the notice of the adoption of said Resolution was pUblished in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle on March 16 and March 23, 2005, as appears on the affidavit of publication of the publisher of said Bozeman Daily Chronicle, which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Bozeman; and WHEREAS, said notice of the adoption of said Resolution has been served in the manner of the service of summons in civil actions upon all persons whose property abuts upon the portion of the above-described streets and alley affected by the proposed vacation, which return of service is on file with the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman; and WHEREAS, said notice, as published and served, designated the 5th day of April 2005 at 7:00 o'clock p.m., at the Commission Room in the City Hall Building, Bozeman, Montana, as the time and place for hearing objections; and WHEREAS, no legal objections to said naming of the private street were presented on the 5th day of April 2005, at the regular meeting of the City Commission, nor were any objections filed in writing prior to that meeting; and WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interests to name the subject private street. -.--.".-. -...--.-...... NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, that the name "Stockman Way" be established for the currently un-named private north/south street between Kagy Boulevard and Remington Way, immediately west of South 19th Avenue, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and more particularly described as follows: All of that un-named street lying between Lots 2 through 5 and Lots 1 and 6. Block 1, Kagy Crossroads Subdivision. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission f the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a regular session thereof held on the 18th day of July 2005 - ----- AND .
