Roof Notes:
1) Roofs less than 4:12 slope to have self adhesive weather barrier, use "Ice & Water Shield" or equal
2) Roofs over 4:12 to have 30# felt or equal weather barrier
3) Roof sheathing to be specified and nailed per structural engineer
4) All wood exposed to the elements to be pre-primed on all faces. Return end grain w/ miters.
5) Flash all eaves w/ 26ga galvanized z-flashing w/ drip edge
6) Flash all barge rafters w/ 26ga galvanized flashing w/ drip edge
7) All valleys to be lined with additional layer weather barrier. Roofing to be flashed or lapped per manuf.

8) All hips to have additional layer weather barrier. Use hip/ridge shingles or other flashing as specified
per roofing manufacturer.
9) All roof/wall intersections to be interlaced with 26ga step flashing painted to match siding/roofing
10) All level wall to roof conditions to be vented and flashed with Cor-A-Vent roof2wall flashing or similar
11) All eaves to be ventilated w/ 1" continuous soffit vent w/ bug screens per IRC requirements
12) All ridges to be continuously ventilated w/ Cor-A-Vent Ridge Vent or similar.
13) All ridges to be capped with Hip/Ridge shingles to match roofing color and material
14) Conditions where roof may slope into walls at chimneys to be countersloped with crickets no less than
2:12 slope. Cap crickets with 26ga galv. sheet metal flashing painted to match roofing.
