This is in regards to the Canyon Gate Annex proposal.
In reviewing the information provided within this proposal I would submit that no part of this zone should
include R-5 or similar dense housing as the surrounding area is a recent low-density development and this
would immediately impact the character of the neighborhood.
Additionally I think with the number of housing units being proposed that a more comprehensive review of
the proposal should be completed prior to any zoning changes.
For example where is parking being deployed, how will this development and additional parking impact the
character of the surrounding neighborhood?
Additionally I'd like to see a clear focus on recruiting local businesses which enhance the immediate
community and pedestrian friendly nature into the commercial space.
