There will also be an opportunity in conjunction with each action item for comments pertaining to that item. Please limit your comments to three minutes. E.Discussion and Decision Items The presiding officer may close the meeting to the public pursuant to Sect. 2-3-203(3), MCA, during the time discussion relates to a matter of individual privacy if and only if the presiding officer determines the demands of individual privacy clearly exceed the merits of public disclosure. The right of individual privacy may be waived by the individual about whom the discussion pertains and, in that event, the meeting must be open. BACKGROUND:The Police Department currently has police officer vacancies. At this point, one applicant has passed a multi-layered hiring process, a psychological evaluation, a comprehensive medical examination, and a robust background investigation. UNRESOLVED ISSUES:None. ALTERNATIVES:As suggested by the Police Commission. FISCAL EFFECTS:All costs associated with hiring and training applicants were anticipated and are contained within the current budget. BACKGROUND:The Police Commission has completed an examination of the qualifications of new officer applicants for the Bozeman Police Department. UNRESOLVED ISSUES:None ALTERNATIVES:As suggested by the Police Commission.
