Members of the City Commission:
Recently the city has taken over the parks in our neighborhood. However, the city has taken over only
certain areas. They have not taken over the paths leading to the parks, the wetlands, the trees along the
paths and the watering of the paths. So now we are being taxed for the city park maintenance as well as
our HOA having to spend 75% of the previous expenses to maintain the areas the city did not assume.
The City Parks Office promised us signs indicating leashes required for dogs in the parks but have yet to
follow through on the promise.
If we are going to be taxed and then have to continue paying our HOA for what the city did not take over,
what did we gain?
