Hi Drew,
As long as there is another easement provided for the ability to service these units, we would not
object to releasing the rear easement behind building C on Lot 5, Block14 for Westland Lofts Phase 2,
Baxter Meadows Subdivision.

Subject: FW: Westland Loft Phase 2 Rear Utility Easement
Hi Jana,
NWE has agreed that they do not need the existing easement below for Lot 5, Block 14 of Baxter Meadows Subdivision
Phase 6. The owner, Steve Mcgough, would like to install concrete patios and fences within this easement.
Would it be possible to get Century Link’s agreement that the easement could be reconveyed? Or at the least that the
patios and fences will no be an issue, as long as the owner is aware that they have the burden of replacing them? I think
an email acknowledging this would suffice.
We appreciate your help in this manner
Thanks!

Drew,
I just discussed the easement release and reconveyance with our construction Manager, Dustin Workman. He is
attached to this email.
Northwestern Energy releases the rear 10’ utility easement behind building C on Lot 5, Block14 for Westland Lofts Phase
2, Baxter Meadows Subdivision, as indicated by the blue area in the drawing below:
5
The release and reconveyance is to accommodate the rear patios and fences for Buildings C in the Westland Lofts Phase
2 site plan.
Northwestern Energy will be providing utility services to the building from the north and south and will not need to run
utilities to the east of building C.
Please let me know if this will work for DRC. If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Daniel Wussow

Hi Daniel,
We don’t not have standard letter form for utility release and reconveyance. Emails have sufficed in the past. The
proposed easement release and reconveyance for Westland Lofts phase 2 would include the rear 10’ utility easement on
Lot 5, Block14, Baxter Meadows Subdivision, Phase 2. The release and reconveyance is requested to accommodate the
rear patios and fences for Buildings C in the Westland Lofts Phase 2 site plan. Please see the area highlighted below. It
would be great if you could respond providing your approval via email as proof for the City. Thanks!
Thanks,
Drew Kirsch, E.I.
