HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-27-21 Public Comment - W. & K. Klundt - Lazarewicz Annexation • A Bozeman City Clerk 121 North Rouse Ave. P.O. Box 1230 Bozeman, MT 59715 SUBJECT: LETTER OF PROTEST regarding Application #20365 To Whom It May Concern: We are writing this letter in protest to the proposed application and subdivision noted above (application 20365). We do not want to see this annexation or development approved. We currently live in the neighboring subdivision (Loyal Gardens) and feel certain that this subdivision will have an immediate negative impact on our neighborhood. The proposed access road for the 20365 subdivision happens to run directly next to our neighborhood's most quiet park and ONLY playground for our neighborhood children. The safety of our children, pets and families is in danger with an access road running right next to this park. Growth in this area does not promote public health, safety and/or general welfare. The current attempt to develop and annex a piece of land into the city where it would appear there are no reasonable benefits to the city seems contrary to the growth policy. This development encourages sprawl, puts increased demand on city services (snow plowing, tree maintenance, fire protection, etc.) with minimal positive contribution to the city. It is a literal development in the middle of farm land so the cost to the city to run sewer/water/power lines seems unreasonable given the surrounding area and/or other development areas closer to the city. The development is not in character with the general neighborhood. Thank you for respectfully noting our VOTES OF PROTEST to application 20365. Sincerely, William KI Karman Klundt Residing at: 4896 Vine Street Bozeman, MT 59718 Loyal Gardens
