Dear City Commissioners,
I would like the Commission to uphold the approved site plans for Whole Foods. I am a Bozeman
resident. I don’t plan to buy at the store. I cannot afford it. However, if the Whole Foods site plans
meet city requirements, the plans and the building should go forward. Whole Foods has nothing to
do with the “unbridle growth in the community”. They are probably coming due to the growth.
Whole Foods is infilling and not expanding the city limits. A restaurant was on the site. I doubt if the
storm water situation changes if Whole Foods replaces a restaurant. The mall has a huge parking
lot. The mall parking lot does not really fill up. There is room for a Whole Foods parking lot. More
people on the road and at places has nothing to do with Whole Foods. If people don’t like Whole
Foods, they should not go there. But making up excuses to block a business you don’t like is just
wrong. What Whole Foods is doing is all about free enterprise. Let the plans move forward. Whole
Foods has the right to build in Bozeman and at that location.
