project scope narrative
PROJECT SCOPE
The proposed project scope is the creation of a new structure on the north end of the
existing lot located at 421 West Lamme Street, detached from the existing dwelling struc-
ture. Uses of the new structure shall consist of an auxiliary storage/studio space on the
ground fl oor with an upper fl oor auxiliary dwelling unit of 600 sf with an enclosed stair and
entry door to the ADU facing 5th street on the ground fl oor. This enclosed stair will be
used to access the ADU. Parking for the ADU shall be provided at grade in a carport at
the north end of the structure accessed with a new drive off of 5th. There is an existing
curb cut at the north property line that is currently not being utilized. It is proposed the
existing, unused access point be moved to the south to its new location as shown on 1
& 2 A1.1. This new location will not only provide access to the new structure but will al-
low for the creation of a landscape buffer between the new structure/access point and
the neighbor to the north. No work is being done to the existing dwelling as part of this
scope.
