Attn: Sarah Rosenberg Subject: Application 20350, 20351 Bridger Meadows Public Comment I am a taxpaying resident of the city of Bozeman. I am writing to express my support for the BridgerMeadows development after reading the dissenting viewpoints being expressed in the Chronicle andelsewhere. In review of the project, it appears that the development protects the critical wetlands and riparian habitat, while at the same time achieving much desired infill housing on the noncritical areas. The design of the street adjacent to the existing homes allows them to have much more open sightlines, rather than the reverse, which would have houses stacked up back-to-back with little room in between. Six relaxations in a PUD are almost nothing, other approved neighborhoods around town have beenin the dozens. To have a proposed neighborhood with city planning and engineering support, unanimous Design Review Board support, and only one dissenting vote by the Planning Boardreflects the time and effort and cooperative design that must have occurred to achieve this rareconsensus. In reviewing other comments thus far, it appears that a form letter was sent around to the Bridger Creek Homeowners Association email list to make the appearance of a groundswell of opposition. It is ironic because the Bridger Creek HomeOwners Association refused to even consider granting an easement from Boylan Rd to this land locked property years ago, even with the strong admonition of a previous city council. While 16 lots are not going to solve Bozeman’s housing crisis, it is a start, and infill offers manybenefits to the city while lessening sprawl. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Todd Holmberg
