Commissioners,
One more quick idea for promoting water conservation: speaking of a goodneighbor policy, almost every time I go for a run around town I see water
running from broken sprinkler systems directly into the gutter, usually
belonging to an HOA or at a large institution campus. It would be
awesome if there was a city hotline for helping report malfunctioningsprinkler and drip systems—and for the city to then contact the
appropriate property owner or HOA to make them aware of the issue.
Doing so would empower the community to collaborate in meeting our
future water needs through conservation.
For example, there seems to be two broken sprinkler lines in the southeast
corner of the Village Gateway subdivision (and there has been for at least
a month). There's literally an inch of standing water on the ground rightnow. I don't know how to bring this to the HOA's attention, but would if I
knew how!
Thanks for your consideration,
