Stirr - Bridger MeadowsFrom:michael alexander sirr To:Agenda Subject:Application 21102 / Public Comment for "Bridger Meadows" development Date:Tuesday, June 29, 2021 12:33:36 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. The variances requested for this development violate the protections we all live by in Bozeman. I live near the proposed development, and see the nesting Sandhill Cranesassociated with wetlands on which this development is proposed. According to the Army Corps of Engineers and the EPA, wetlands "typically support vegetation adapted for life in saturated soil conditions." This is what this developer is seekingto destroy. The dead end cul-de-sac is right on top of an area of 'Cat Tails" [wetland by definition] They therefore need a form 404 from the Army Corps/EPA to destroy this wetland. Do theyhave this? Also, by disturbing the waterway 50 feet away [if you grant the variances], they will drain the active water course and hurt the wetland next to this development if you allow it to happen. Less than 1% of Montana is wetland. The Army Corps of Engineers approves 99% of form404 to develop what is left. It's up to you to preserve what little we have in Bozeman. Please consider the future. That's why we have regulations - don't ignore them! Michael Sirr 406-437-18001290 Story Mill Road, Bozeman, Mt. 59715
