City Officials,
In light of extreme heat and drought conditions, please seriously consider banning all fireworks in the city of
Bozeman and Gallatin County this year! Even though it was not caused by fireworks, watching our own
Bridgers burn last summer was absolutely heartbreaking! All it takes is one careless person or a breeze to
come up to cause catastrophic fire conditions. You have the power and time to protect our beautiful city
and county by taking a stand against all firework burning this year, and as long as these conditions prevail,.
In talking with many people I know in Bozeman, having lived here for nearly 50 years, I am hearing the
same concern from other citizens, many BWAGS (a long active group of women who hike, bike and ski in
our beloved mountains) among them.
Please, I implore you, ban all fireworks in the city of Bozeman and Gallatin County to protect our home in
these extreme drought conditions. You have the power and time to do so.
