Dear Commissioners:
Given the high fire danger in our community and across Montana, please place
an immediate ban on fireworks and fireworks sales within city limits. The early
arrival of fire season is incontrovertible.
No bright display of exploding colors or thrill of small explosions at a picnic
are worth the risk of burning our productive agriculture fields, beloved
neighboring forest lands, or our homes. The risk is simply too high this year.
