Would the city commission please enact some legislation that prohibits commercial airline flights from
overflying the city, especially on approach vectors? The incessant, cacophonous din of commercial heavies
overflying the town is ridiculous. The constant airline traffic is also a disturbance of the peace, excessive
noise pollution, and is an absolute diminishment of the quality of life when trying to reside in “the most
livable place”.
Would it not be possible to mandate that all flights skirt around town proper and then approach from the
east or west? The conservation of their fuel, operating costs, and profits to share holders are not of a
concern to me when the quietude of my residential home life is destroyed by their day in and day out
operations.
Perhaps the time has come to really look down the road and build a new airport north of Manhattan or
Three Forks.
Thank You, Ken Baker
