To: Bozeman City Commission My name is Brian Bjella, my wife Karen and I live at 1050 Boylan Road, Unit 16 in Bozeman. We live in the Village Green townhouses which are immediately adjacent to this proposed Bridger Meadows Project. While we oppose this project for many reasons, we have real concern about two issues should it be approved: 1. Lack of second means of public access to site. Putting all this new traffic thru the Links townhomes project is irresponsible. The developer should be required to build and acquire a second access thru Commercial Drive. That the developer raised problems about this second access route is not the concern of the city or of us as neighbors. Lack of a second means of public access is both a safety issue (police and fire), and also a traffic issue for those of us who live in this area. Commercial Drive needs to be opened and improved as a second public access to alleviate these major issues. 2. The proposed road into and along the lots is on the wrong side. The road should be on the west side of the lots, not the east side. To put the road on the east side puts it immediately adjacent to the backyards of the homes in Village Green where we live. The developer said at the Planning Board meeting that he had proposed to put the road on the west side, but the city planning office suggested it go on the east side. This was a mistake. The backyards in Village Green are already very narrow and the proposed road would feel like it is just outside their windows. To avoid a very direct impact to existing homeowners the road needs to be moved to the west side of the proposed lots. Thank you. Brian & Karen Bjella Cell: 701-202-8532 Sent from Mail for Windows 10
