Thank you, Danika Comey 2514 Daffodil St. Bozeman, MT 59718 June 21, 2021 Dear City Commission Mambers, I am excited to be a new member to the Bozeman Task Force to Advance the Status and Safety of All Women and Girls. We aim to end all forms of discrimination and violence in our community, and to work with and amplify the voices of women and girls most marginalized and most vulnerable. As part of this budget cycle for the City of Bozeman, I encourage the City Commission to consider increasing the amount of funding set aside for the Equity Indicators and Gaps Analysis project to at least $50,000. The additional funding for this project can be used to study the impact of COVID-19 on the Bozeman community, in particular women and girls. Existing research indicates that women and girls, specifically women and girls of color, have been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic nationally and globally. We would like to know how this has impacted our community and our women and girls. We think by including this research component as part of the ongoing Equity Indicators and Gaps Analysis work, we will be able to see inequities in our community that we can begin to dismantle and address. Thank you so much for the wonderful leadership the Commission has shown during the most trying of times. Thank you for working to keep our community safe. Let’s continue to make Bozeman a safe and welcoming community for all. Thank you, Danika Comey 2514 Daffodil Street Bozeman
