I hope the City Commissioners will reconsider their decision to fund only part of
Streamline's budget request. Streamline must grow with the town, and surveys repeatedlyshow that riders want expanded days and hours of operation. Streamline is about to modernize
its service in response to demand, and the new bidirectional routes will require more buses anddrivers. While it's true ridership has been down because of the pandemic, I have appreciated
that Streamline kept the buses running the whole time, in spite of all the adjustments thathad to be made. However, I'm sure ridership will pick up again, probably this Fall, as more
people get vaccinated and become confident about moving around in society. Fully fundingStreamline's request will enable them to serve more parts of town more frequently. I hope the
Commission can find a way to fully fund Streamline at a critical time in their evolution.
Kagy Blvd is in the news again, as seen on the Chronicle's Opinion page. I was here whenthe 1st attempt to widen Kagy was made. It is too bad there was so much opposition back
then. Hopefully citizens are more informed about planning and development needs this timearound. The last plans I saw for expanding Kagy looked to be more than adequate to address
the needs of all commuters. I just want to add my support for getting this project done, evensooner than 2025 if possible. Hopefully opponents can be persuaded by the need for this
project and the common sense of it. Thank you for your time,
