Hello, I am requesting that the City of Bozeman give Streamline an additional $100K to meet their entire$400K funding request. This is essential for Streamline as they implement new bidirectional routes thisfall that will expand service in the community. The funding will also assist with additional plans, includingthe Bozeman’s Strategic Plan, Triangle Community Plan, and Bozeman Community Plan.
Public transit plays a critical role in communities. I have used public transit all my life and enjoy not havingto drive whenever possible. I am looking forward to the new Park-n-Ride in Belgrade this fall and plan touse it to commute to MSU where I work full time. This means less “wear and tear” on my car, gassavings, one less car on our congested roads and less pollution.
The City Commission has previously stated their support for expanding public transport, but not meetingStreamline's funding request suggests that this is not a priority. Please consider meeting Streamline'sentire $400,000 request.
