My name is Terry Q uatraro from the Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board
I reside at 5205 Eclipse Drive, Bozeman 59715
Although I am a member of the Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board I am commenting asa citizen of Bozeman
I have been a member of the Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board since 1997.
I am in favor of the consolidation of Advisory Boards. I have believed for a long time that
having 40 plus boards is hard to manage and also difficult to accomplish certain objectives. Itseems that often times there is overlap and repitition of shared goals. Not to mention the
commissioner's time is taken up attending to so many meetings.
It is vital in my opinion that City boards have representation from a city commissioner andalso a city staff liaison at meetings and functions of the board, to ensure important
communication.
I also believe due to constant turnover with city staff ( this was true even before Covid)that board members should be allowed to remain on the advisory board for far more than 2
years. Much progress would be wasted if the board had to reestablish itself every 2 years. Since I have been on a board for more than 20 years I can attest to the fact that it is necessary
to have a knowledge of the past history of the board and it's specific functions. It is not enoughto just look at past minutes or spreadsheets and be able to be a productive entity.

I am not able to attend the meeting Tuesday June 22nd as I am out of town beyond cell serviceuntil June 28th.
