BOZEMAN PARKING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION 2021-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
TO SET RATES IN THE BRIDGER GARAGE.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has granted the Parking Commission authority to set
parking rates in the garage and all other city facilities (MCA7-14-4634); and,
WHEREAS, in 2020, Bozeman Parking Services launched the PARK BZN mobile app to pay
for parking in the garage from a mobile phone; and,
WHEREAS, Bozeman Parking Services and the Parking Commission has the stated goal of
aiming to improve the parking experience: and,
WHEREAS, through the use of the PARK BZN app, it has come to the attention of the City
of Bozeman that the current rate structure makes the app difficult to use and has led to several
residents getting citations in the garage due to the confusion; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Bozeman Parking Commission sets the
following rates for the Bridger garage transient parking:
• First two hours, free parking.
• $1 for each hour after the first two hours.
• A $5 rate for 12 hours of parking time to replace the current day rate. This rate is
valid twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
• Eliminate the night rate.
Passed and adopted by the Parking Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a session
held on the 13th day of May 2021.
