Terry and Commissioners, I have always prided myself in work and parenthood as being able to find solutions toproblems, and that has always led me to finding and collaborating among folks who can and want to help. I'm writing as a parent of a 6-yr-old little girl who hasn't stopped telling herfriends and family that she can swim the same races as an Olympic swimmer. This community has given her that sense of pride during the hardest year we have ever faced, so I'm not willingto sit idle while staffing shortages at the Swim Center threaten to take that smile away from her. The problem we seek to solve is this: the pool is unable to staff the hours they agreed to.Families have work, childcare, camps, and teenager work schedules built for the whole summer that take the practice schedule into consideration. We continue to offer staffingsolutions, but it seems there is some red tape restricting the pool administration's receptiveness to the help. I'm cc'ing the community swim team coach, Hans Dersch, as a friendly intro in hopes ofconnecting a few great folks who have been working tirelessly to keep the minimal resources in place. The Barracudas are willing and certifiably able to help, but the various solutions wehave offered seem to run into roadblocks that either aren't well defined or aren't actively being removed. As Hans has been our Barracuda point person, I'm hoping you'll take the time to consider hisideas and work together to find solutions to scheduling. If there were another pool for us to consider, we would, but the Bozeman Swim Center is the only indoor pool with the markingswe need in the whole state. Respectfully and cordially, Maria Holden
