NOTES:
1.THE ENTRANCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN A CONDITION THAT WILL PREVENT TRACKING OR FLOWING OF SEDIMENT
ONTO PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY. THIS MAY REQUIRE TOP DRESSING, REPAIR, AND/OR CLEANOUT OF ANY MEASURES
USED TO TRAP SEDIMENT.
2.WHEN NECESSARY, WHEELS SHALL BE CLEANED PRIOR TO ENTRANCE ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AT THE SHOWN
WASH RACK THAT DRAINS INTO AN APPROVED SEDIMENT TRAP OR SEDIMENT BASIN.
3.USE A WASH RACK DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED/MANUFACTURED FOR THE ANTICIPATED TRAFFIC LOADS. CONCRETE,
STEEL, OR OTHER MATERIALS ARE ACCEPTABLE. PRE-FABRICATED UNITS SUCH AS CATTLE GUARDS ARE ACCEPTABLE.
USE A MINIMUM DIMENSION OF SIX FEET BY TEN FEET (6' x 10'). ORIENT DIRECTION OF RIBS AS SHOWN ON THE DETAIL.
4.INSTALL WASH RACK PRIOR TO, ALONG SIDE OF, OR AS PART OF THE TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE.
5.KEEP AREA UNDER WASH RACK FREE OF ACCUMULATED SEDIMENT. IF DAMAGED, REPAIR OR REPLACE WASH RACK.

5.FLAP POCKETS SHALL BE LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCEPT WOOD 2"x4". THE REBAR, STEEL PIPE, OR WOOD SHALL BE
INSTALLED IN THE REAR FLAP AND SHALL NOT BLOCK THE TOP HALF OF THE CURB FACE OPENING.
MAINTENANCE NOTES:
WHEN REMOVING OR MAINTAINING INLET PROTECTION, CARE SHALL BE TAKEN SO THAT THE SEDIMENT TRAPPED IN THE FABRIC
DOES NOT FALL INTO THE STRUCTURE. MATERIAL THAT HAS FALLEN INTO THE INLET SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED.
