NOTICE OF A WETLAND REVIEW APPLICATION
This application is evaluated against the wetland regulations review standards of Section
38.610.080 of the Bozeman municipal code (BMC) and associated standards. Per 38.230.100, BMC,
approval is granted if all criteria are met.
The public may comment in writing regarding compliance of this application with the required
criteria. Comments should identify the specific criteria of concern along with facts in support of the
comment. Per 38.250.070.B, BMC, issues not raised during public comment period may not be
raised on appeal. During the notice period the City will continue review for compliance with
applicable regulations. The most recent version of this application was received digitally in
accordance with the City Manager’s Declaration of Emergency issued by the City on March 16, 2020.

Project Name: Bozeman Stockyard Streambank Stabilization Application: 21171
Summary: A stabilization project next to the Bozeman Stockyards off East Griffin Drive. A 177-ft
section of a bank on the East Gallatin River has failed and the river is threatening a pole barn. The
proposed work would design a bio-engineered solution to prevent further erosion. The applicant has
already obtained Army Corps of Engineers approval for work in waters of the U.S. and is in the process of
obtaining a floodplain permit from the City of Bozeman Engineering Division.
