Amendment of Administrative Order 2020-01 to Remove References to and Adoption of
the 2018 NFPA 99C Gas and Vacuum Systems.
WHEREAS, on January 3, 2020,the City of Bozeman(City) signed Administrative Order 2020-
1,which adopted several building codes in compliance with Administrative Rule of Montana
24.301.202, including the 2018 NFPA 99C Gas and Vacuum Systems;
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2021,the Montana Department of Labor and Industry notified the
City that its adoption of the 2018 NFPA 99C Gas and Vacuum Systems code was in error
because the City is not authorized to inspect such systems; and
WHEREAS,the Montana Department of Labor requires the City to amend its adoption of
Administrative Order 2020-1 to remove references to the 2018 NFPA 99C Gas and Vacuum
Systems code.
NOW, THEREFORE, effective immediately in conformance with the notice from the Montana
Department of Labor and Industry,the City hereby removes all references to and rescinds the
adoption of 2018 NFPA 99C Gas and Vacuum Systems in Administrative Order 2020-1. The
remaining portions of Administrative Order 2020-1 continue in fall force and effect.
