R-4 zoning is not an appropriate use of this land, as R-4 density is meant for plots that are near shopping, public
transit, and bike able infrastructure. This plot doesn’t have any of those amenities and would be better suited for a
lower density development plan. It also completely does not fit the character of the area, with single family
homes being the norm in the surrounding tracts. In addition to being out of place, this development doesn’t meet the
goals set forth in the Bozeman growth plan.
Please do not approve this R-4 designation and send the message to the developer that Bozeman wants to grow
sustainably and sensibly, not with reckless abandon while ignoring the character of the town that makes it a fantastic
place to live.
