Dear City of Bozeman Commission,
We are against the proposed annexation of Buffalo Run as a high density R4 zoned subdivision. Voting
in favor of R4 is going against the policy that the City of Bozeman has in place. An R4 high density
subdivision is supposed to be located within walking and biking distance of amenities such as transit,
grocery stores, restaurants,gas stations, businesses, etc...to minimize car traffic and carbon emissions
to the environment. These services are not near this proposed subdivision. The nearest grocery store is
Town & Country and is located approximately 2 miles away.
There are also many other issues with such a high density subdivision placed in this location such as:
1. No major arterial street connecting to this subdivision through Meadow Creek Subdivision.
2. Even greater loss of water pressure to the current residents.
3. Increase in safety issues to children and pets due to an increase in traffic.
R3 is appropriate for this area. Please consider the many residents that are in opposition to this R4
zoning. I understand that Bozeman is growing and we need housing, but let's do this in a smart and
responsible way that works for all of us to make our community a place that we all enjoy.
I urge you to please vote against the annexation of this property into the City of Bozeman as an R4
Residential High Density District.
