Planner Rosenberg explained that the purpose of this Modification is to request four relaxations for development within the Bozeman Gateway PUD. Staff supports 3 of the 4 relaxations. The application will be reviewed by Bozeman City Commission on April 11th, 2021. 00:30:40 Applicant Presentation Design Professional, Jim Ullman presented on behalf of the applicant. He explained that he has been part of the project since 2002, and that the development has won a beautification award for the commercial development. Mr. Ullman disagreed with staff regarding the light requirements, and explained that in order to meet lighting standards, over 280 light poles would need to be replaced. 00:36:39 Board Q&A with Staff & Applicant Board members took turns directing questions to city staff and the project applicant. Planner Rosenberg responded to questions related to the code requirements surrounding lighting, and how the 3000K vs. 4000K lumens criteria was determined. Board members also discussed the relaxation related to height, noting that this area of town may not be the best location.
